課程概述

Course Description:
This is a one-year course. It will cover four main topics in analytical chemistry: conventional methods of analysis, electrochemical methods, spectroscopic analysis, and separation techniques. The first semester will cover the first two topics. It will start with the data treatment based on statistics, followed by gravimetric and volumetric analysis. Volumetric methods will cover various titrations including acid-base, precipitation, redox, and complex-formation. Electrochemical methods include potentiometry, electrogravimetry, coulometric, amperometry, and voltammetry. The second semester will cover the spectroscopic methods including the principles and instrumentations of molecular absorption and emission, infrared and atomic spectroscopy, followed by separation techniques including gas and liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry and capillary electrophoresis
